SharePoint (new site collection)

Introduction:

A SharePoint site collection provides a university unit, research group, or institutional committee with shared, web-based file storage where collaborative editing of documents can be done, with a shared calendar, and with other services.

Site collections will be created in SharePoint Online and can be accessed by clicking the Sites tile after logging into Outlook Web App

Click on Request New Site button to get started.

Eligibility:

Anyone with the title of Director or Department Chair or higher may request a SharePoint site collection for the unit he or she leads. If only one sub-unit needs SharePoint services immediately, then its site will be created within that site collection. The chair of a multi-unit committee may request a SharePoint site collection for that committee.

Cost:

There is no charge to use this service.
