Software for Personally Owned Computers

Introduction:

The West Virginia University Software License Information Center (SLIC) negotiates annual software site license agreements with many software vendors to provide students, faculty, and staff with free or discounted software for their personally owned machines.

Discounted SPSS/AMOS and SAS/JMP Software

The following software is available at a discounted price for teaching and non-commercial academic research:

  • SPSS/AMOS
  • SAS/JMP

Once the ticket is complete, a payment can be made by contacting the ITS Service Center at 304-293-6201 or visiting them at either location (G-118 Bennett Tower or Vandalia Lounge at the Mountainlair). View the ITS Service Centers article for their hours. Once the payment is processed, SLIC will fulfill the software request via email.

Eligibility:

All current WVU Main Campus, HSC, and regional campus students, faculty and staff.

SPSS Faculty $140
SPSS Students $90
AMOS Faculty (Not compatible with Mac) $110
AMOS Students (Not compatible with Mac) $60
SAS Faculty (Not compatible with Mac) $50
SAS Students (Not compatible with Mac) $25
JMP Faculty $30
JMP Students $25
License Period

SPSS/AMOS software and SAS/JMP software are annual subscriptions that run from the date of issue of each license through June 30 of each fiscal year. At that time, and each year thereafter, it will be necessary to pay an additional fee to renew each license. The license fees are prorated quarterly.
