Common Computer Login Errors

Error message: There are currently no logon servers to service the logon request

The computer is not establishing a network connection. Check the network cable at both ends. Even if it doesn’t seem loose, have the user unplug it and plug it back in. The network jack may not be active (especially if the computer has been moved recently, there is a network outage, or there is a hardware problem with the computer’s network card). There may possibly be a domain controller outage, but only if several computers in an area have the same error.

Error Message: The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship

The computer account on WVU-AD has become invalid. This is usually due to expiration (the computer has not been logged into for 90+ days), virus activity, or automatic system recovery. Your desk side support will have to physically access the computer to re-add it to the WVU-AD domain.
