WVU Student Cancellation System

Overview:

The WVU Cancellation System allows eligible students to cancel their attendance to WVU, Potomac State College of WVU or the WVU Institute of Technology.

Note: This system excludes Health Science Center (HSC) students (except those pursuing a major in Exercise Physiology). HSC students interested in cancelling their attendance should contact the HSC Office of Admissions at 304-293-3521.

How do I submit a cancellation request?

Go to cancel.wvu.edu and review who is eligible to submit a request. If you are an eligible student, select your campus and log in using your MIX email address as your username and WVU Login password to begin your cancellation request. If successful, you will receive an email confirmation of your cancellation after it has been processed.

How can current students withdraw?

If you are not returning to the University for a particular term, and you are registered for classes, then you may withdraw from the term before it begins. Withdrawal from a term can be done through the STAR system. You may also withdraw from ALL your courses for a future term. For more information, consult the Office of the University Registrar for the withdrawal policies (registrar.wvu.edu).
