MATLAB License Information

Overview:

MATLAB is an integrated technical computing environment that combines numeric computation, advanced graphics and visualization, and a high-level programming language.

MATLAB is used for math and computation, algorithm development, modeling, simulation, and prototyping, data analysis, exploration and visualization. It can also be used for scientific and engineering graphics, application development and graphical user interface building.

Student information:

Students can install MATLAB for free. View the MATLAB Student Installation Instructions for a step by step guide.

Faculty and staff information:

Visit it.wvu.edu/services/slic/softwarelist/matlab for a list of colleges and departments with site licenses available. If your college is listed, contact your local IT unit for access. If your college is not listed, use the Software Licensing service to submit an order form.
