Computer Recommendations by College

Colleges, departments or degree programs that have specific computer requirements are listed below. If yours is not listed, refer to the Student Technology Guide. Students can also contact their departments or advisers.

Health Sciences Computer Program

Once admitted to the Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Medical Doctor, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pathology Assistant, Nursing or Pharmacy programs, students MUST purchase a laptop (currently a MacBook Air 13) and accessories from the Health Sciences Center. Students who have NOT been admitted to a Health Sciences program may want to use their own existing machines and/or WVU computer labs for freshman year. Students will receive details about costs, specifications and more when admitted to these programs. If you are a student in Health Sciences and are unsure of computer recommendations for your major, visit the HSC Laptop Support Contacts page to find program specific support.
