Process for Data Center Access Requests

Overview:

Sponsors and supervisors can use the Data Center Access Request service to add, modify or revoke Data Center access for their employees or vendors. View our Process for Data Center Access Requests PDF for a detailed guide on submitting requests and what happens next.

Note: Employees and vendors must complete a test before being granted access. You can review the Data Center Access Policy for more information.

Add Data Center access:

The supervisor or sponsor will select the Data Center locations they want the person to access and the date range of their access.

After the access request has been submitted, the person being given access will receive an email with a link to the Data Center access test. They will have ten business days to complete the test and confirm they have taken it.

If they do not confirm they have taken the test within ten business days, the supervisor or sponsor will receive an approval task asking if access still needs granted.

If the supervisor or sponsor Approves, the process will restart and the employee will receive another email with a link to the Data Center access test. If they Reject this step, the request is cancelled.

Once the test has been completed and passed, the supervisor or sponsor will receive an email letting them know that access has been granted.

Modify Data Center access:

The supervisor or sponsor can modify what locations someone can access or the date range of their access. When submitting this type of request, remember to select all locations the employee or vendor will need to access, not just the locations you wish to add or remove.

Revoke Data Center access:

The supervisor or sponsor can provide the employee or vendor's access end date. Upon that date, all Data Center access will be terminated.
