Unlock/Reset Your Login Account


WVU passwords must be changed periodically for your protection. If you let your password expire, your account will go into a locked status. If you have recently changed your password and your account is locked, see the Login Account Keeps Locking article for troubleshooting information.

How do I unlock my Login account?

If you are enrolled in Duo two-factor authentication, go to the Login Self Service site ( and click Reset Account. Provide the required information. If you need help resetting your account, view the Login Tutorials website.

If you are not enrolled in Duo two-factor authentication, contact the Service Desk (304-293-4444) for assistance.
