The Admit view of the WVU Portal is visible to incoming students who have been admitted to WVU. What you will see depends on the program or school to which you belong: Undergraduate, Graduate, Professional, WVU Institute of Technology, or WVU Potomac State.
General content includes text, links, images, embedded Twitter, and RSS feeds, etc. Links (with the exception of an RSS link) will direct you to a new page. Certain links such as MIX (Gmail) Email, STAR, Financial Aid, DegreeWorks, and Schedule Builder allow you to access these applications without having to log into each site.
As an admit user, you will be able to access your MIX (Gmail) Email from the WVU Portal. The MIX Email section will alert you of unread messages, and clicking the unread messages will open the MIX/Gmail website in a new tab or browser.
My Week and My To Do:
Professional Admits will have access to the My Week and My To Do sections. These sections will display calendar events and tasks from your MIX email or eCampus sections (when applicable).
Admit Portal Views:
While all WVU Admits have access to the Admit Portal, content may vary. What you see is based on your program or school, which could be Undergraduate, Graduate, Professional, WVU Institute of Technology, or Potomac State College.
Please note that because the portal is continuously being improved, some screenshots may not match exactly what you see.
The Undergraduate view consists of general content (links and images) and the MIX Email section.
The Graduate view consists of general content and the MIX Email section.
The Professional view consists of general content and the My To Do, My Week, and MIX Email sections.
WVU Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) View
The WVU Tech view of the admit portal consists of general content, RSS feeds, the WVU Tech calendar, and MIX Email.
Potomac State College View
The Potomac State College view consists of mostly general content and the MIX Email section.
