The WVU Portal (portal.wvu.edu) is a single location for all students, admits, faculty, and employees to access key information.
STAR Web (commonly referred to as STAR) is WVU's portal to student records, enrollment, and transcripts.
The student email system, referred to as MIX or MIX Gmail, is integrated with Google Mail (Gmail). All MIX email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu.
Gmail has a lot of great features that we do not cover in our Knowledge Base, because the information is easily available online. If you need assistance with Gmail that is unrelated to access or WVU policies, we suggest browsing the Gmail Help Center's website ( https://support.google.com/mail ) or searching online.
When searching, be specific. For example, if you are trying to do something in Gmail on a mobile device, be sure to include "mobile" or your specific phone in the search. If you cannot find the information you need, try adjusting the keywords you are using in your search.
