StarRez Access and Support Request


StarRez is the housing system used by Housing and Residence Life and University Apartments on the Morgantown campus, the Office of Housing and Residence Life at Potomac State College, and the Division of Student Life at the WVU Institute of Technology. Depending on a user’s level of access, StarRez may be available to administrative and support staff at all three campuses in one of three formats:

  • An installed Windows client
  • StarRez Web (
  • StarRez Mobile (StarRez, StarRez Rooms and StarRez X) for iPod or iPad

Submit a ticket to request StarRez system support or StarRez access. If you are requesting access changes, please review the information below before submitting your ticket.

StarRez access requests:

Submit separate tickets for employees who require different types of access. If multiple employees need the same type of access changes, you may list the employees in a single request.

Note: You do not need to submit a ticket to add or revoke access for a Resident Assistant (RA). RA access is managed automatically based on their assignment information in StarRez.

Need to request additional access for an employee? Use the resources below:


WVU Housing and Residence Life (including conference services), WVU Real Estate, PSC Housing and Residence Life, WVU Tech Division of Student Life, or other WVU staff using the StarRez system may request access for employees.

Any WVU Staff or student with access to the StarRez system may use this service to request assistance with the StarRez system.


There is no charge to request or use this service.
