Mountaineer Card Charges and Refunds

Introduction:

Use this service to submit a question about charges on your Mountaineer Card or request a refund for your card's remaining balance.

If you experience a failed Mountie Bounty deposit, ensure you are entering the correct billing information. When a deposit fails, it may look like your bank account or credit card has been charged when it's actually a pending debit. In most cases, you will not need to do anything, as pending holds usually drop automatically after 1-10 business days depending on the issuing card's bank policy. If more than 10 business days have passed since your failed deposit, submit a ticket for Mountaineer Card Services to review.

Note: West Virginia University does not have the ability to release an authorization hold. This can only be performed by the issuing card’s bank.
