Overview:

Windows makes a computer system user-friendly by providing a graphical display and organizing information so that it can be easily accessed. The operating system utilizes icons and tools that simplify the complex operations performed by computers.

WVU’s Microsoft agreement includes Operating System upgrades to 7, 8 or 10. Each computer must have an existing Operating System to qualify for our licenses. Any Version of Windows or Mac OS qualifies under this agreement.

Licensing restrictions:

When installing this you are agreeing that it is being installed on a WVU machine for WVU purposes. As mentioned above, the computer that you are installing this on must have an existing Windows license associated to it.

Eligibility:

Faculty can install the software for free on a WVU computer or buy it with personal funds for a personal computer.

Staff can install the software for free on a WVU computer or buy it with personal funds for a personal computer.

Students  can download the software for free for personal computers.

How to order:

WVU Computer:  Faculty and staff who would like to install MS Windows will need to contact their local IT unit for instructions.

Personal Computer: Faculty and staff who would like to purchase Windows 10 for work-at-home can go to wvu.onthehub.com.

Students who would like to download Windows 10 EDU for free can go to wvu.onthehub.com.

OS Compatibility:

This product is an operating system and is only compatible with Windows. Before installing Windows, make sure that all your software is compatible with your Windows version.
