Portal Address App


At the beginning of each semester, students are required to indicate where they will be physically located while taking classes and to provide a phone number. They will be prompted to provide this information when they sign into the WVU Portal at portal.wvu.edu

Students will not be able to proceed with any activity in the WVU Portal until they answer these prompts.

How do I provide my location and phone number?

Go to portal.wvu.edu and sign in with your WVU Login credentials. You will be prompted to enter your physical address and home or cell phone number. 

Note: If you are unsure where you will be located, choose the address that best fits.

Why is this information needed?

This information is being collected so WVU can meet all state and federal legal requirements.

Will this affect my listed residency?

No, the location you enter will not update or alter your listed residency or mailing address for WVU communications.
