Student View of the WVU Portal

Overview: 

The student view of the WVU Portal is visible to all currently enrolled students. The items displayed in student view are based on your campus location or if you are enrolled in an online program. 

Note: If you are a student worker or graduate assistant and need to access the web clock, you will need to switch to Employee view.

Buttons at the top: 

DegreeWorks: A tool that gives students and advisors a visual checklist of courses and objectives required for graduation, including major requirements, major electives, capstone and General Education Foundations (GEF) requirements.

Financial Aid Information: Information in STAR that lets you view financial aid awards, cost of attendance, financial holds and more.

STAR: The STAR system is where you register for classes, pay tuition bills, view financial aid information, view class schedules and more.

Schedule Builder: A tool for creating a course schedule. 

Feeds and shortcuts on the left: 

eCampus: A shortcut to your current courses in eCampus.

@WVUSafety: Twitter feed for campus safety and wellness updates.

@WVUParking: Twitter feed for bus, parking, traffic and PRT status updates.

@WVUHealth: Twitter feed for WVU Health Sciences, including public health information.

Feeds and shortcuts in the middle: 

STAR Schedule/STAR Grades: Shortcuts to your available courses and grades in STAR. If you do not have a GPA yet, your grades will not show in STAR grades on the WVU Portal.

IT Help: A shortcut to the Information Technology Services (ITS) help site and technology resources. 

My To Do/My Week: Your MIX Gmail calendar feed and to-do list for your MIX Gmail account.

"Pay your bill button here!" button: A shortcut to pay your bill online. 

STAR Information: Displays your account balances, enrollment status, academic holds, parent/guest proxies for your student account, outstanding financial aid requirements, and offered financial aid. 

WVU Academic Calendar: A list of upcoming events and University holidays. Click View All Events to see the entire calendar.

WVU Athletics Calendar: Events such as football games and volleyball matches. Click View All Events to see the entire calendar.

@WestVirginiaU: The official Twitter feed from West Virginia University.
