Award Initiation and Management Module

An award will be established in WVU+kc and MAP when funding is received for a research project.

The Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for initial entry of an award in the Mountaineer Administrative Processes (MAP) university financial system. Electronic award notices (Green Sheets) are generated from the WVU+kc (Kuali Coeus) electronic research administration system.

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

Required IRB training can be taken via the CITI web-based training materials website.

IRB Protocol Module

Submit human subject research protocols via the IRB Protocol modules of WVU+kc.

Proposal Development Module

Submit external funding proposals to the Office of Sponsored Programs via WVU+kc.

Proposals should be submitted in FINAL form at least five business days prior to an agency deadline. OSP will review proposals for adherence to funding program and institutional guidelines.

Internal Grants Application Module

Request funding from the university for small research projects, travel for professional development, and community engagement activities.

Clinical Trials Registration

Registration with the Center of Excellence is required for all clinical trials on the Morgantown
campus that meet the NIH clinical trial definition. Researchers can submit registration in the COE module in WVU+kc.

IACUC Protocol Module

The Protocols application in WVU+kc allows WVU research staff to complete, submit, and track protocols for animal care and use.
