The student email system, referred to as MIX or MIX Gmail, is integrated with Google Mail (Gmail). All MIX email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu.
Gmail has a lot of great features that we do not cover in our Knowledge Base, because the information is easily available online. If you need assistance with Gmail that is unrelated to access or WVU policies, we suggest browsing the Gmail Help Center's website (
https://support.google.com/mail ) or searching online.
When searching, be specific. For example, if you are trying to do something in Gmail on a mobile device, be sure to include "mobile" or your specific phone in the search. If you cannot find the information you need, try adjusting the keywords you are using in your search.

An instructor's email to a student's MIX account may sometimes be flagged as Spam, causing the student to miss an important communication. It is a good practice to add a filter to your MIX Gmail account to prevent an instructor's email from ever being flagged as Spam.
